Your finances in Google Sheets
You have your own way with spreadsheets. Martia brings in your transactions and balances, so you can build the reports, charts and budget that work for you.
You choose the accounts. Martia creates a spreadsheet and refreshes the available data.

Data from Martia. Analysis your way.
Transactions
Income and spending from selected accounts, with descriptions and categories. Each refresh updates the data without adding the same rows again.
Balances
The balances available in Martia for your selected accounts. Each account keeps its currency, so you can decide how to compare them.
Balance history
Historical balances saved in Martia give you the data for your own charts over time.
From connection to your own spreadsheet
Open the integration in Martia
Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Sheets. If you are new to Martia, create an account and add your bank accounts first.
Choose your accounts and connect Google
In Martia, select which of your own bank accounts to include. Then connect your Google account and approve access on Google’s page.
Create a spreadsheet and add your analysis
Martia creates a file in your Google Drive. Open it from the integration and add your own tabs for formulas, charts or a budget.
Know what goes to Google
The connection runs in one direction: from Martia to your spreadsheet. Changes in Google Sheets do not change transactions or balances in Martia.
- You choose which of your own accounts to export. Accounts shared with you by another person are not available in this integration.
- Martia requests access to files created through the integration. It does not need access to the other files in your Google Drive.
- Transactions, Balances and Balance history are managed by Martia and replaced on refresh. Keep your analysis in separate tabs — those are preserved.
- You can disconnect Google Sheets in Martia. Further refreshes stop, and the created file stays in your Google Drive.
Before you connect
Martia refreshes the spreadsheet automatically at regular intervals. You can also request a refresh in the integration settings. The spreadsheet receives the data currently available in Martia; refreshing it does not fetch new data from your bank.
The integration creates a separate spreadsheet. This keeps access to other files unnecessary and makes it clear which tabs Martia updates.
Yes, but put your calculations in separate tabs. On refresh, Martia replaces the contents of its managed tabs with data from the app. Spreadsheet changes are not written back to Martia.
Martia stops refreshing the spreadsheet and removes its stored Google access. The file with previously exported data stays in your Drive; you can delete it in Google if you wish.
You control file access in Google Sheets. If you share the spreadsheet, other people can see its data according to the permissions you grant. Connecting Martia does not require making the file public.
Reconnecting creates a new spreadsheet. The previous file stays in Google Drive, so you keep the data already exported. Regular refreshes continue to update the current spreadsheet.
Start your spreadsheet with the data in place.
