How to connect a bank account
Click 'Connect bank account' in settings, choose your bank from the list, and authorize secure access through your bank's website. The entire process takes about 3 minutes.
How transaction syncing works
Martia automatically fetches transactions once a day. You can also trigger a manual refresh by clicking the sync button in the top menu.
How to set monthly budgets
Go to the Budgets tab, pick a category, and set a spending limit. Martia will show you in real time how much of your budget is left until the end of the month.
How to view charts and analytics
In the Analytics tab you'll find spending charts, category breakdowns, and monthly trends. You can filter data by date range and category.
Common issues
Transactions are not loading
Try manually refreshing data by clicking the sync button. If the issue persists, check whether the bank connection is still active in settings.
Authorization expired after 90 days
GoCardless requires re-authorization every 90 days. Martia will notify you in advance. Reconnecting takes just a few clicks and your history is preserved.
Transaction categories are incorrect
Automatic categorization is based on the merchant name. The system learns over time. If you spot an error, contact us so we can update the rules.
I can't see all my accounts
Each bank account must be connected separately. Go to settings and click 'Connect bank account' to add another bank or account.
Security & data
Does Martia have access to my funds?
No. Martia uses the GoCardless API in read-only mode. We never have the ability to make transfers or perform any operations on your account.
How do I delete my account and all data?
Email us at support@martia.ai — we will delete all your data from our servers within 24 hours in accordance with GDPR requirements.
How does Martia protect my data (GDPR)?
Your financial data is encrypted and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes. We operate in full compliance with GDPR.
How do I change or disconnect a linked bank?
In settings you'll find a list of all connected accounts. You can disconnect any bank at any time — historical transactions will remain in the app.
