You can now fix a transaction description by hand — when AI gets a purchase wrong, the list shows your wording instead.

Manual transaction description edits let you replace a wrong AI label while keeping the original bank text in the detail view.

What if AI gets the transaction wrong?

Until now, the transactions view let you fix a category but not the description itself. If AI saw a surname, a merchant shorthand, or an unclear bank title and guessed the wrong story, that misleading label stayed in the transaction list.

Now the detail panel includes a “Correct” action for the description. It helps when AI matches the wrong description to a bank transaction.

Your wording in the list, bank text in the details

This does not overwrite the data sent by the bank. Martia stores a separate manual description, shows it in the transactions list, and keeps the original bank title visible in the detail view.

That matters when you revisit spending a week or a month later and need instant context. A category alone is not enough if the description still reads like an unrelated AI hallucination instead of a clear record of what happened.

Frequently asked questions

No. The original bank description stays in the transaction data. Martia stores a separate manual description and shows that instead of the wrong AI suggestion.

Yes. Category and description are now independent. You can correct only the category, only the description, or both.
