Read-only, by design

What an assistant connected through Martia can see, and what it can never do.

What the assistant can see

  • Your accounts and their current balances
  • Transactions, filtered by date, category or account
  • Spending by category over a date range
  • A monthly summary: income, expenses, net
  • Net worth — balances and declared assets minus liabilities
  • Your bank connections and whether they are syncing
  • Daily balance history for an account

What it cannot do

  • It cannot change or delete anything in your account
  • It cannot categorise a transaction or fix a description
  • It cannot touch a budget or move any money
  • It never sees your full account number — only the last four digits

How it works

  1. Connect your bank in Martia

    You log in at your own bank, as always. Martia gets read-only access.

  2. Add Martia where you want it

    Add Martia in Perplexity. The setup guide shows where, step by step.

  3. Ask about your money

    Answers come from your real transactions, not general advice.

Questions

Yes. Reading your financial data requires an active Martia subscription and a connected bank. Connecting Perplexity is part of that subscription, with no per-connection fees. Any plan Perplexity itself needs is between you and its maker.

No. The connection is read-only: Perplexity can read what Martia shows it, but it cannot move money, change a budget or edit a transaction.

When you ask, Perplexity receives from Martia the data it needs to answer. You choose this yourself in the settings of Perplexity, and its provider's terms apply to what it receives.

Disconnecting

The Settings → Integrations screen doesn't show Perplexity or Grok connections yet. To cut one off, remove Martia in the assistant and email support@martia.ai: we'll help you revoke its access on Martia's side.
